All Sorts of Blue

Whooooooosh! That’s what my hair said yesterday. Wow talk about a side sweep. Anyway let’s get to the outfit… sometimes I love mixing multiple shades of the same hue and this time it was with blue. Hah! Lame rhyme. I’ve been waiting to wear these new pieces from Ambig. The slim pants are lightweight and very comfortable for running around the city during Fashion Week. The tee is also Ambig. I love the slight tribal pattern. I wore the outfit with my signature sunglasses – the monogram IMC detail is ever so subtle in the photo above. Top it all off with a cobalt blue watch from JEANRICHARD and insanely comfortable socks from Mack Weldon. I love Mack Weldon’s socks because they keep your feet dry all day and are even designed to last MULTIPLE days before washing. Gross and fantastic at the same time. We shot outside The Meatball Shop on 9th Ave. SOOOOOO GOOD. I cannot wait to go back for some more balls.

All in the DETAILS

Yesterday I went to DETAILS TxT Summit with Chris (the mag just got a new site!). The summit was a morning of programming focusing on the intersection of technology and tastemakers. I’m excited to dive deeper into that post after fashion week! Then there was the Jack Spade presentation, which was followed by a trip to the High Line to snap this look. I wore a new Marc by Marc Jacobs bag that I snagged at Century 21. There’s a fun announcement coming up with Century in the coming weeks and I can’t wait to share the news! JEANRICHARD sent over this awesome orange watch that goes perfectly with the bag. I stacked a silver LAGOS bracelet with the watch for some added wrist shine. What do you think? To keep the look focused on the watch and bag I opted for black pants and my favorite blazer. Top it all off with my 360 swivel sunnies that are so easy to store. Remember this post about them?

What would you wear to fashion week? Are you here?! Say hi!

Dancing in the Rain

It’s a blogger worst nightmare or is it a kodack moment com true? The other day I met Marcus ourside the PMA (Philadelphia Museum of Art) to capture this look. After a few photo, the rain came out of no where and started pouuurrrrrrrring. Thankfully we got what we needed and I was able to dance in the rain. No sock look provided by Mack Weldon‘s super absorbent no show socks. The green Commonwealth Proper shirt became slightly see through… First the suggestive Versace top and now a wet dress shirt. What’s next? Check back to see…

Seaport Sunset

I love watching the sunset. It’s so peaceful to detach from chaos while graciously gazing into ruby red rays (wow can we get anymore alliteration…geezs). The other night I went out to catch the sunset with Christopher and Leah – founder of Rad Girls. What a beautiful evening! I broke out the man cleav in this vintage Versace top. Can you say “suggestive” ??? & paired the blue top with dark, black plants and leather loafers. With such a statement shirt I kept the rest of the outfit simple. Shop similar items in the widget!

Buckets

Shirt: Zara | Shorts: One Star | Sunnies: DKNY | Bracelet: Kenneth Cole

Let’s considering the verb definition of bucket (v) 1) rain heavily or 2) (of a vehicle) move quickly. OK, great. Now picture yourself walking down the street, scouting backdrops to shoot an outfit with your photographer friend and then suddenly you come across this graffiti tag. Aha! Buckets is now the term for walking with immaculate confidence, style and class (contrary to the urban dictionary definition referring to women). Whenever you’re walking down the street looking extra amazing and need a word to describe the scene, won’t you use BUCKETS?
