Red Stripe Pant + You Should Try Blue Glasses

This winter I’ve been on a black on black on black wardrobe routine. I’m ready to break that habit!! Have you felt stuck in a style pattern with the urge to mix it up? It’s a new year and now is the time! I do love the comfort of wearing black. It’s easy to mix and match pieces to create solid looks. The simplicity of styling black looks was a needed mental stabilizer this fall, however I’m ready to get back to my accessorized self! I mixed these black pieces with a new pair of blue sunglasses my friend recently gifted me. The lens color makes the world clean and crisp. These glasses are like a great night sleep, a cup of coffee (or your caffeinated beverage of choice) and a new outlook on the world mixed into one accessory. The rest of the outfit is (loosely) inspired by Saturday Night Fever. Mainly the spirit of these holographic Dr. Martens shoes. Every time I look at them I think, “It’s a new year! I’m ready to dance!”

Urban Desert

Shirt: Lucky | Shorts: Lacoste | Socks: Bugatchi | Shoes: Sperry | Hat: BR | Sunnies: UO

The sun was setting and these rusting metal rods looked like sun-kissed benches. Partially under a highway, Christopher and I stopped to snap this look. Hot weather calls for some haute outfits so I broke out this (I’ll call it) vintage linen Lucky shirt. The Lacoste shorts are also “vintage” since I’ve been wearing them since 8th grade. Yes, 8th grade! #talkaboutgettingyourmoniesworth. I like the lines on the Bugatchi socks next to the lines of the sun-kissed metal benches.

Heat Wave

Shirt: c/o/ Fairwear | Shorts: Levi’s | Belt: UO | Shoes: Cole Haan | Sunnies: Aldo

It’s so f#%^^king hot lately. I almost didn’t wear this outfit to go meet my friend for a drink, but then realized the sun was almost gone and wore it anyway. Tomorrow it’s supposed to get up to 100. GAHHHHH. Legs for days. Shorts for days. (Hopefully not) sweating for days. I’ve had this multicolored beaded belt for a while now – don’t wear it that often, but it goes with a lot of outfits since it has so many colors. Easy to compliment hues. Until next post… IMC

Spring Green.

Shirt: Gap | Tie: c/o/ Men In Cities | Vest: Ben Sherman | Jacket: Gap | Pants: Levi’s | Sunnies: Urban Outfitters | Gloves: Banana Republic | Socks: Cole Haan | Shoes: c/o/ Ahnu

Now that spring is FINALLY HERE… I’m wearing a lot of colored pants. The weather is still mostly cold, but every now and then there is a nice sunny day. Chris and I snuck onto a roof to celebrate the new season. I particularly liked hanging off of the ladder where he captured my camo socks. If you follow me on Instagram you might have seen this Men In Cities tie. The Jasper accessory has been a staple in my wardrobe since I picked it up during fashion week. Thanks to the guys at Men In Cities! I love it.

Warehouse Style

T-shirt: 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target

Pants: Gap

Belt: Abercrombie

Socks: c/o/ American Trench

Shoes: c/o/ Tsubo

Sunnies: Urban Outfitters

Sometimes I stop and have photo shoots in random warehouses with neon green fork lifts. I also sometimes wear 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target t-shirts with orange Tsubo shoes at those warehouse style shoots. My friend Emily was chatting how she really enjoys the orange on orange foot attire in this look (I sent her a teaser image last night). Do you like the orange on orange look? Wow I just said orange five times.. okay, six.
