Beach Necessities, Sanya, China

Beach1

My necessities: NUXE lip balm | Prada sunnies | OSiS+ hair paste | Gucci watch | mojito | comb

Mollie’s necessities part 1: Prada sunnies | Fiji Film camera

Mollie’s necessities part 2: NUXE dry oil | JUMA scarf | Ray-Ban sunnies

George’s necessities: Kiehl’s fragrance & lip balm | Gotti sunnies | Schon DSGN pen & notebook | Stereographic camera | comb

And we’re back to the beach! All of this cold weather is making me want to travel even more and to someplace warm! When George, Mollie and I were in Sanya we snapped some of our beach necessities. One of my favorite grooming products lately is the NUXE lip balm. So many other lip products seem to only last an hour or so, but with NUXE my lips feel soft, hydrated and not shiny (big plus) for hours.

Since we stayed at the Renaissance Sanya Resort & Spa, we had beach side service. Not shown here are George and Mollie’s drinks, however I did enjoy that delicious mojito! Mollie loved using the NUXE dry oil to stay hydrated on the sand while George used his stereographic camera to capture moments on the sealine and Schon DSGN pen to note them as well.

The evening before we shot these we went to a market street in the main downtown area in Sanya on Hainan island where we found awesome wood combs. I can’t wait to share more adventures from China soon! As always – thanks for reading!

Simon Lookbook Live: How GQ Are You?

Sitting here thinking about the upcoming Simon Lookbook Live events in partnership with GQ and Glamour magazines happening around the US. Oh you’re going to King of Prussia Mall on October 4th? And Roosevelt Field on October 11th? You’re going to be at The Westchester on October 12th?!!! No way… ME TOO! Swing by the events happening at Simon locations around the country. I’ll be at the above mentioned three events from 1-6 p.m. each day. There will be individual style consultations (come get styled by me!), expert style panel, a social media contest (freeeeeee clothes) and live style challenges. I decided to wear this vintage metallic jacket with 18k gold cufflinks by 1884 Collection because, well, it’s just so GQ. Wouldn’t ya say so?! ;)

I kept the look casual with off-white Sperry’s and cuffed navy pants. A perfect outfit for such a sunny day outside The Continental Martini Bar (hellllllo, look at those awesome yellow chairs).

The yellow chairs, gold cufflinks, gold accented sunnies, the actual sun… sensing a trend here.

“Stick ’em up!” that’s what I’m going to say during the style challenge, um, COMPETITION.

Let me know how GQ you are in the comments below! Oh and be sure to say hi if *ehem* when you stop by one of the Simon Lookbook Live events! I want to know what you #foundatsimon…

All in the DETAILS

Yesterday I went to DETAILS TxT Summit with Chris (the mag just got a new site!). The summit was a morning of programming focusing on the intersection of technology and tastemakers. I’m excited to dive deeper into that post after fashion week! Then there was the Jack Spade presentation, which was followed by a trip to the High Line to snap this look. I wore a new Marc by Marc Jacobs bag that I snagged at Century 21. There’s a fun announcement coming up with Century in the coming weeks and I can’t wait to share the news! JEANRICHARD sent over this awesome orange watch that goes perfectly with the bag. I stacked a silver LAGOS bracelet with the watch for some added wrist shine. What do you think? To keep the look focused on the watch and bag I opted for black pants and my favorite blazer. Top it all off with my 360 swivel sunnies that are so easy to store. Remember this post about them?

What would you wear to fashion week? Are you here?! Say hi!

Watching

Summer is flying by (sorry for the reminder) and I’m trying to get outside as much as possible. Recently Chris and I went for a walk along Kelly Drive, people watched (I love people watching) and then decided to climb some rocks. This outfit is a combination of old and new. My denim shirt, pants, sunnies and shoes I’ve had for a while, but you can shop similar items in the widget above! The white 18-hour t-shirt is new from Mack Weldon. The lavender socks are new from Ace & Everett. The wind was crazy by the water as you can see with my blustered hair! Are you exploring while summer is still here?

White Wall

Shirt: Gap | Shorts: H&M | Sunnies: Nike | Shoes: Cole Haan

Last week Lauren and I were scouting locations to shoot this look when we saw this white wall (which is very close to our apartment) and realized it would be a great place to shoot. Can’t believe we didn’t take note of it before. I wore this look while running errands in the city. The pockets on this shirt are one of my favorite details from this look. The right pocket is open on the side – not very practical, but fun to play with. I just got these mirrored green sunglasses and absolutely love them! You may have noticed MANY other posts with different mirrored sunnies in the past few weeks. A summer must-have.
