Beautiful Tennis in Miami with Lacoste

Lacoste invited me to a weekend getaway to experience #BeautifulTennis during the Miami Open. The brand is the official apparel outfitter for the tennis competition. Upon arriving at The Gale in South Beach on Friday, I switched from my travel suit to sun ready attire. Above is a shot from my room’s balcony.

Two limited edition shoes launched over the weekend – a collaboration between Lacoste and Clyde Edwards from Addict Miami. The white sneaker is an updated take on the 30 year old Dash model. A more limited run of 50 tennis ball colored sneakers also released during the weekend. The sneakers are currently available at Addict Miami.

On Saturday we stopped by Turnberry Isle for a tennis clinic. It’s been awhile since I’ve played tennis, but thankfully it was like riding a bike. A few mishits here and it wasn’t long before the instructor started complimenting my form. #SCORE! Proud me asked to pose by the Lacoste sign post training.

Later that evening we went to Soho Beach House for a private dinner. Beforehand Alexander and I caught up and took in this breathtaking view!

Alexander, Michelle, Lisa, me, and Sydne at the Lacoste L!VE x Addict party.

Sunday we went to the Lacoste’s box seating at the Miami Open. I especially loved stopping into the Moet & Chandon tent and sipping on the Ice Imperial Champagne!

Toasting to a great trip with Sydne Summer of Sydne Style

The weekend was truly magical. I enjoyed meeting new people and seeing my friends. Ever since the trip I’ve been wearing Lacoste sneakers on the regular because they’re so comfortable. Shout out to Ally, Melissa, Ali, Layne, and Colby for showing us a great time in Miami and decking us out in head-to-toe Lacoste.

Special thanks to Lisa Dengler for capturing the last two outfit shots!

Before We Spring Forward

Tee: ASOS | Pants: Zara | Coat: Andrew Marc Shoes: Kenneth Cole | Sunglasses: Mont Blanc | Watch: Marco Mavilla

In the winter something about the cold keeps me dressed in a lot of black and neutral colors. With spring around the corner I’m playing with the light and making a graphic statement. I paired this lined t-shirt with my favorite winter coat to keep me warm, but the whole time I wore it I just wanted to throw the coat down and walk around in just the t-shirt! Toward the end of each season I start working in the next season’s styles. Whether that’s wearing fall layers at the first cool breeze in September or attempting to wear just a t-shirt at the beginning of March, the saying goes, “we always want what we don’t have.” If the current temperate means I get to wear this outfit, then I want exactly what I DO have. Cheers to spring temperatures ahead.

Distinct Style at Morimoto

Jacket: Ryan Seacrest Distinction

Vibrant hues line the walls at Morimoto, a restaurant partnership between the Iron Chef and Stephen Starr. It’s quite the experience to indulge in a nine course Omakase tasting menu while the lights behind your date’s head change from intense red to opulent orange to cool blue. Briana and I stopped by just before Valentine’s Day (friend date!) to experience the Omakase meal. My favorite dish was a scallop accompanied with A LOT OF TRUFFLE. I love truffle. After dinner, and after most of our fellow diners left, we stuck around to shoot my dinner jacket by Ryan Seacrest Distinction. The velvet blazer with a satin shawl collar was perfectly suited for the luxurious evening. My all-dark outfit provided a blank canvas as the vibrant hues changed the interior of the room as well as the allure of my attire.

My Favorite Coat For Arctic Temperatures

Coat: Triple F.A.T. Goose

One of my favorite parts about winter is when I start breaking out my outerwear. This season I’m wearing the Triple F.A.T. Goose Chenega coat. It’s slogan “For Arctic Temperatures” held up… during the snow storm a couple weeks ago this fuzzy coat kept me super warm. It’s lined with goose which is one of the best and lightest insulators, it’s water-resistant and the hood is trimmed with coyote fur. DREAMY. One of the other neat features that I wish we would have taken a (probably awkward) photo of is the underarm zippers. Sometimes I unzip the armpits if I’m feeling a little sweaty… excellent zipper placement!

Shop the coat here.

Fitted Suit in the French Quarter

Suit & Shoes: Primark | Watch: Shore Projects | Sunglasses: Givenchy

Continuing with my affinity for blue and black attire, during my trip to New Orleans I sported this suit for an evening out. Before dinner Briana and I explored the French Quarter stopping in Jackson Square. Isn’t the Saint Louis Cathedral gorgeous?! While snapping our photos we watched a couple pose for wedding photos in the garden. It was really a magical moment! Then we jetted over to Magazine Street for our dinner reservation at Shaya. Modern Israeli cuisine.. mmmmmmm yum. If you’re heading to NOLA definitely plan to stop there for dinner, but make a reservation a few days (or weeks) in advance. The place books up fast. We loved the hummus and meticulously crafted cocktail selection. After dinner we went back to the hotel and regrouped before heading out for some dancing.

Special thank you to Loews New Orleans for the generous hospitably. See my review on the property over on Wear We Went’s STAY section!
