Over the past year or so I’ve been watching RAGs & Thread as the company expanded its ready-to-wear selection. Currently offering men’s and women’s knits, the company hopes to launch a custom denim platform on its online store to allow customers to, well, customize their own jeans. Right now there is a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for production and to build the interface on the RAGs & Thread website. Scroll on to read/see how it will work!
A customer will start out with a blank pair of denim jeans and select different embellishments on the RAGs & Thread website. This pair that I customized as part of the Kickstarter campaign has some acid washing, distressing on the right thigh and a camo patch.
Images are from the custom denim campaign. If you didn’t realize, I’m the male personality behind the custom denim launch! I modeled the sample jeans and appear in the promotional video. SEE THE VIDEO HERE.
Head over to RAGs & Thread’s Kickstarter to read more about the customization process and to pledge for a custom pair of jeans before the campaign ends! AHHHHH! HURRY!
