Shirt: Chafor | Pants: Primark | Shoes: Donald Pliner (similar style) | Sunglasses: Chopard

This summer has been a whirlwind of traveling around, which means… living out of a suitcase. While it’s been insanely fun… it’s been tricky packing and repacking time and time again. To simplify my life I started narrowing down the options I wore opting for better quality, basics that can be worn again and again without seeming boring. For a taste of up coming series on identifying your staple pieces I’m sharing a few items I’ve loved all summer.
1) This Chafor shirt is cut with a little extra room in the back that allows for an anti-sweat design in warmer climates. It was a great piece to wear in the blazing sun and I will certainly keep wearing it on upcoming trips to sunny destinations.
2) The Chopard sunglasses (according to my sister) fit my face the best of any I’ve worn. The wood and acetate temples are very comfortable. The wood bridge adds structure to the look.
3) These Donald Pliner shoes are going into fall with me because they are so damn comfortable! Clean, crisp and forgiving to the feet. One thing I’ve learned while traveling so much is to identify a handful of stellar shoes that will last long and have generous foot padding. Highly suggest checking out the various styles from DJP.

Pairing Two Suede Pieces in One Look

Jacket: Guess | Pants: Primark | Shoes: Puma (similar) | Sunglasses: MCM Worldwide (similar)

Fall means mixing texture in my sartorial book. Here I’ve paired two of my newest favorite pieces, a suede biker jacket and mint suede sneakers. While having a ‘statement piece’ element to them, the sneakers are subdued in the same respect. To me this outfit shows the versatility we can have while playing with muted pops of color, texture, and layering.

Fitted Suit in the French Quarter

Suit & Shoes: Primark | Watch: Shore Projects | Sunglasses: Givenchy

Continuing with my affinity for blue and black attire, during my trip to New Orleans I sported this suit for an evening out. Before dinner Briana and I explored the French Quarter stopping in Jackson Square. Isn’t the Saint Louis Cathedral gorgeous?! While snapping our photos we watched a couple pose for wedding photos in the garden. It was really a magical moment! Then we jetted over to Magazine Street for our dinner reservation at Shaya. Modern Israeli cuisine.. mmmmmmm yum. If you’re heading to NOLA definitely plan to stop there for dinner, but make a reservation a few days (or weeks) in advance. The place books up fast. We loved the hummus and meticulously crafted cocktail selection. After dinner we went back to the hotel and regrouped before heading out for some dancing.

Special thank you to Loews New Orleans for the generous hospitably. See my review on the property over on Wear We Went’s STAY section!
