Philadelphia Travel Video Where to Eat, Stay + Play

There are sooo many awesome places in Philadelphia! I put together a must-try list of my favorite places to stay, play, and eat in Philadelphia. The newly opened AKA University City overlooks the entire city! You can book a session to feed giraffes (and other animals) at the Philadelphia zoo. Bar Bombon Esquina Popular makes 100% plant based dishes and the most delicious Spanish meatballs (remember it’s plant based! So no actual meat!!). Longwood Gardens has over 1,077 acres of gardens, woodlands and meadows. The gardens are stunning! You can also run up the Philadelphia Museum of Art steps like Rocky Balboa and get a workout in! *Cue me running up the PMA Stairs like Rocky*

Exploring the city with ease in a CarShare

This past year I’ve been traveling more and more which makes leaving my car in the city sort of pointless — no need to pay for a parking spot every month or leave my car stranded on the street when I’m not in Philadelphia. I recently tested Enterprise CarShare as an alternative to owning a car. You can sign up for a monthly or annual membership that gives you access to CarShare spots across the city. About a week before I scheduled my drive, I entered the time, day and desired pickup location. Each car has different pricing depending on the make and model (you can pick what you like best).

One of the best parts of the experience was the ease of unlocking and locking the car. After creating an account online and being approved as a new member, a membership card was mailed to my home. That card is used to access the scheduled cars on my CarShare account. i hate carrying around extra keys to it was super convenient to just swipe the card to unlock, start the car (the keys are left inside) and then swipe the card again to lock.

I scheduled a car for a day I was in Philadelphia and needed to run errands. The King of Prussia Mall isn’t far from Center City Philadelphia, but it’s also not very close!  I started the day meeting my mom for lunch. From there I ventured to the suburbs and stopped for coffee multiple times. I love independent coffee shops!

It’s not often I get to stop and enjoy a relaxing sunset so after running errands in the Suburbs before my CarShare time finished, I parked in Fairmount to appreciate the stunning sky views. I swung by the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Barnes Foundation. If you haven’t been to Philadelphia to see those museums…. it’s an absolute must!

Each person has his own sense of style and Mr. Porter is documenting the most sartorially inclined guys. As part of Mr.Porter.com‘s Global Style Campaign, I had Kris shoot this look to represent Philadelphia. Not a guy shy of color, I regularly incorporate color blocking into my personal style. This outfit is a bit conservative when compared to some of my other looks. Color blocking plays a part with the blue and pink backdrop and my accessories compliment those colors. Head over to Mr. Porter to see similar items. You can also enter to win a shopping contest.. check out the Global Style Campaign guidelines.
