How To Style A Blue Puffer Coat

Processed with VSCO with c3 preset Processed with VSCO with g6 preset

All blue puffer jackets are not created equal. This one is from a recent Lacoste collection and I love wearing it because it form fitting while still giving that somewhat rounded PUFFER look. Here I paired it with army green pants and a pair of mint PF Flyers. This photo doesn’t show off the hue too well as it’s very subtle and more noticeable up-close in person. A pair of white sneakers will work with this look as well, which is why I linked them in the widget below. Sorry if you are on the edge of your seat for the mint pair… they are from a couple years ago! But enough about the shoes… back to the jacket. I paired it with the green pants to keep this look casual and not look forced. Black pants or gray pants run the risk of making the jacket look too casual or out of place. The leather high top sneakers make the whole outfit feel pulled together as opposed to a traditional athletic sneaker that would make this feel more casual.

Have you worn a blue puffer coat before? If not…. would you?

Spruce Street

Now that it’s warm out I love visiting popup events like the Spruce Street Harbor Park. Briana and I went to check out the different beers, take some pictures and enjoy an evening in the cool breeze. There are all of these cool lights that change colors and I’ll definitely be going back to hang out and possibly shoot another look. I love how the summery colors complimented the water backdrop and blue wall at the harbor lookout point. These shorts were so comfortable with the drawstring waist. I definitely recommend checking out Katin’s short selection for summer! Do you have a favorite summer item?

Ah. Holiday season. Currently I’m sitting around at my parents house eating probably too much food, watching shows (#OITNB) and resting resting resting! The holidays are all about comfort to me. When I’m not at a soiree… I’m alllll about relaxed clothes and cuddling up by a fireplace. Rejuvenation is key! I took this comfy outfit to the streets with George to check out holiday decorations like the pretty tree background. Now for the look…

When your jacket goes…. whoooooosh.

A new favorite jacket by Tavik coasting over this kangaroo pocket sweatshirt by ISAORA.

And then your hair, too….

These sunglasses are two-faced. Kaibosh designed a pair with flipping temples so it’s two looks in one. Did you catch the other side from image 1 in this post? More on these glasses later…

Some more snaps of those cool blue suede PF Flyers.

The gray pants are also from Tavik! What are you wearing during the holidays? For more inspiration The Gold Treatment post shows a formal-ish holiday look. Wishing everyone a fantastic end of 2014! I’m hibernating until the new year and prepping for my trip to China. :)

The Gold Treatment

AHHHHHHH. Is that what you’re thinking, too? I’m seriously shocked that the holidays are here. 2014 was a fantastic year and I’m looking forward to an even better 2015. To celebrate this fantastic year of projects and collaborations – that I hope you saw from various Instagram, Twitter and blog posts – George and I decided to shoot these yellow Levi pants amongst the fantastic gold scenery at The Palace. I paired the pants with a white french cuff shirt from Twillory, blue suede PF Flyers and a navy blazer. What was your favorite moment from 2014? Share your thoughts in the comments!
