Clown face.

It’s no secret that I love Alexander McQueen. From skull key chains to ornate couture gowns, McQueen delivers time and time again. I was catching up on industry news and saw the latest ad campaign shot by Steven Klein. One photo stands out more than the others… a guy with a clown painted face. After looking past the model’s exaggerated makeup, I’m quite fond of his hair and the simple, black bomber jacket he is wearing. Stuffed animals in the background are interesting and thought provoking. What do you think those animals mean?

Blinded By Light

Ever hear of the Adopt a Pig foundation? Until recently I had not. It’s a program that raises money for children with cancer. Kids are given cute little piggy banks in the hospital and are allowed to paint them however they like. After the piggy banks are decorated, Adopt a Pig sells them to supporters who are then encouraged to save and donate the change within the small bank. Money raised funds Coping Kits that included things parents/children need during a hospital stay. Now that you know what Adopt a Pig is… last week Saks Fifth Avenue Bala Cynwyd had a fashion show to raise money for cause and to get ready for the Style Wars in mid-November. They asked me to model in a cute show. This beauty up there^^^ was much taller on the runway being that she is a professional model. We popped out, posed, got our picture taken, and then encouraged guests to purchase looks since proceeds from that night went to Adopt a Pig! Thoughts on my outfit? Clothes were from Saks (obviously), but the Tsubo shoes and embossed belt are my own. In all seriousness, does anyone want to snag that Burberry sweater for me (think it’s on sale)? IT IS AMAZING!

Bold Colors and Prints for S/S ’14

Flipping through the picture galleries, I noticed that bold colors and prints are huge for S/S ’14. Versace, Prada, & Etro (just to name a few) have electrifying palettes and patterns. I cannot get enough of the warm hues seen in Versace’s collection – very punchy! Prada and Etro offer more tame looks, however these outfits are still eye-catching! Cannot wait to see how this trend is interpreted on the streets.
