Neutrals with Ampersand Goods Co

Shirt: Mack Weldon | Pants: Neil Barrett | Backpack: Ampersand Goods |
Shoes: New Balance | Sunglasses: Tumi | Hat: Gents

Well it’s finally warm, no hot, in the North East United States. It’s time to drop the jacket for easy, sporty chic outfits. I recently acquired this backpack from Ampersand Goods Co and I love it. When I went to the brand’s website this style caught my attention for it’s ease. I proceeded to customize the bag picking the leather color and strap details. One of the best features is the mesh lined back to help with air flow and prevent my back from sweating!

A striped hat corresponds with the bag strap and helps shield the sun. On a super bright day sometimes sunglasses aren’t enough, however these black Tumi shades keep sunlight at bay. The black pants are fitted and stretchy perfect for active days around the city. Now I’m off to enjoy Memorial Day Weekend with friends. Have a great weekend and stay safe!

Shipwreck in Sanya

Oh how I miss Sanya! When I was traveling in China last month, George, Mollie and I went to the beach. We stayed at the Renaissance Resort and took a car to a small town with a surf club. We spotted a shipwreck and decided to check it out. The weather was warm during the day with a slight breeze in the evening. Perfect weather for these Tavik pants and the light sweater I bought at the Silk Market in Beijing. Sanya is a beautiful travel destination! It’s the southernmost city on Hainan Island in Southeast China – just East of Northern Vietnam. More on Sanya soon!

Brooks Heritage X UBIQ:  The Philadelphia store partnered with performance brand Brooks Running Company for a limited edition shoe (seen below). It launches this Saturday (Dec. 13th) at UBIQ in Philly and on the store’s website — my guess is this will fly run off the stock shelves. I love the multicolored sole.

Mack Weldon Silver Underwear/Undershirts: Designed with NASA in mind, Mack Weldon’s new Silver collection holds up to the test. What test? Seeing if the silver prohibits smell and keeps you fresh for six days. Yes, I did wear the same pair of underwear six days in a row. No I didn’t do much physical activity while taking the Silver 6-Day Same Underwear Test. And yes, I’d do it again because they didn’t even stink after those 6 long days. Either this product works OR I smell like angels. Or both! Check it out for yourself here.

Fun cuff links: Whether a top hat pair from Robert Graham (seen below) or chess pieces (seen in my feature) – cuff links don’t have to be simple. In fact – I think they should be little shirt accessories full of personality! I’ll be sharing many more cuff link styles in 2015, but remember that 18k gold pair from 1884 Collection? Swoon…

Colored Sunglasses: Opt for a bold pair like the Gotti Switzerland frames below or go more subtle and try colored Ray-Ban club masters or traditional aviators in white or electric blue. Not into colored frames? Try tinted and mirrored lenses. All are sartorial options!

Eastern State

I seriously cannot believe this year is fastly coming to a close. Where did the time go?! We passed daylight savings and now it’s dark around 5. In past I’ve hated that – the getting dark so early part. But in recent years come to appreciate the extended evening. A perfect time to breakout the dark leathers and transition from my normally bright and colorful attire. While walking on Fairmount Ave in Philly, Chris and I stopped at Eastern State Penitentiary. The lighting – gloomy and omnipresent – reflected of the black leather Daniel Won cardigan well. One of the things I love about this cardigan is that people think it’s a jacket. It kind of is, but the shape is very cardiganesk. You can’t see the navy blue trimmings in these photos but they are sick. See them here and let me know what you think! I paired the look with a gray tee form Mack Weldon, dark jeans and a pair of snakeskin embossed loafers. Browse and shop some of my favorite black leather items below!

All Sorts of Blue

Whooooooosh! That’s what my hair said yesterday. Wow talk about a side sweep. Anyway let’s get to the outfit… sometimes I love mixing multiple shades of the same hue and this time it was with blue. Hah! Lame rhyme. I’ve been waiting to wear these new pieces from Ambig. The slim pants are lightweight and very comfortable for running around the city during Fashion Week. The tee is also Ambig. I love the slight tribal pattern. I wore the outfit with my signature sunglasses – the monogram IMC detail is ever so subtle in the photo above. Top it all off with a cobalt blue watch from JEANRICHARD and insanely comfortable socks from Mack Weldon. I love Mack Weldon’s socks because they keep your feet dry all day and are even designed to last MULTIPLE days before washing. Gross and fantastic at the same time. We shot outside The Meatball Shop on 9th Ave. SOOOOOO GOOD. I cannot wait to go back for some more balls.
