Eastern State

I seriously cannot believe this year is fastly coming to a close. Where did the time go?! We passed daylight savings and now it’s dark around 5. In past I’ve hated that – the getting dark so early part. But in recent years come to appreciate the extended evening. A perfect time to breakout the dark leathers and transition from my normally bright and colorful attire. While walking on Fairmount Ave in Philly, Chris and I stopped at Eastern State Penitentiary. The lighting – gloomy and omnipresent – reflected of the black leather Daniel Won cardigan well. One of the things I love about this cardigan is that people think it’s a jacket. It kind of is, but the shape is very cardiganesk. You can’t see the navy blue trimmings in these photos but they are sick. See them here and let me know what you think! I paired the look with a gray tee form Mack Weldon, dark jeans and a pair of snakeskin embossed loafers. Browse and shop some of my favorite black leather items below!

The Race

Then there was summer… Now that the unofficial end of summer has past (hope you had a great Labor Day), it’s time to upgrade fall wardrobes. I recently got this new French cuff shirt from Twillory. It’s a nice staple piece I plan to style in a bunch of different ways. The CT Scuderia watch is inspired by Italian Cafe Racing so I thought it fitting to add a pair of horse race cufflinks from Craiger Drake. Although it’s not “chilly” out yet, I paired this look with a Daniel Won leather cardigan because sometimes it is cold in restaurants… hello. Mix in a pair of Alberto pants, snakeskin embossed shoes and Ace & Everett socks and the look is complete. Oh! And the red temple sunglasses pull out the red in the watch and cufflinks. Now the question is do I wear this look to the race track, the office or an event? I say all of them. I do know that it’s a race from now until the new year. Event on event on event.. ahh.
