Blending In.

Shirt: Threads 4 Thought | Pants: Rustic Dime | Jacket: Kenneth Cole | Coat: French Connection | Beanie: Nudie | Scarf & Gloves: Banana Republic | Shoes: Ahnu | Sunglasses: Made Eyewear

I seriously didn’t try to match my outfit to the exterior of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Briana and I were going to shoot this look in a quaint alley, but then decided to switch locations and shoot at the PMA. Although camo is for blending in, that certainly wasn’t the intent with this look. I love how the Made Eyewear sunglasses pop with the emerald green lenses. Notice the pops of green in the architecture shots? Love how those hues coordinated.

With the icky weather my feet stayed dry in brown leather Ahnu shoes. The top of the shoes look like canvas, but it’s actually treated suede for more durability. Cool right?!

This look was perfect for gallivanting around town. Briana and I spent Sunday catching up from a hectic week, having coffee and discussing a new project I’ll be announcing within the next week! Until then – would you incorporate camo into your outfit? Favorite camo item? Bag? Shoes? Pants?

Roomie Beach Trip Part 1

Tee & Swim Trunks: c/o/ Original Penguin X Pepsi | Sandals: c/o Ahnu | Sunnies: c/o/ Made

My roommate and I decided to take a day trip to Cape May. GM sent over the Cadillac ATS (in black diamond – yessssss) and we drove down the shore last weekend. I haven’t been outside much this season – well, for an extended period of time – so I made sure to bring a high SPF sunscreen to keep from burning. Flash forward to the end of our day on the beach and I realized I should have used even more sunscreen…ouch.

You may have seen me talking World Cup Style when the games kicked off last month. Going along with the sports theme – I wore football (no, not futbol) inspired swim trunks and a tee from Original Penguin’s collaboration with Pepsi for the Live For Now Collection. Pepsi teamed up with Original Penguin, B&O PLAY, Gents, Goodlife, Del Toro and SHUT as well as retailers Bloomingdales, Colette and Liberty to create a collection surrounding the art of football. If you know me, I’m not a very heavy sports person minus swimming and running track in high school. However, I can get down with the clothes from Pepsi. I love the print on the swim trunks and how the tee’s pocket matches.

Trip sponsored by GM. Thoughts and opinions are all mine.

Urban Desert

Shirt: Lucky | Shorts: Lacoste | Socks: Bugatchi | Shoes: Sperry | Hat: BR | Sunnies: UO

The sun was setting and these rusting metal rods looked like sun-kissed benches. Partially under a highway, Christopher and I stopped to snap this look. Hot weather calls for some haute outfits so I broke out this (I’ll call it) vintage linen Lucky shirt. The Lacoste shorts are also “vintage” since I’ve been wearing them since 8th grade. Yes, 8th grade! #talkaboutgettingyourmoniesworth. I like the lines on the Bugatchi socks next to the lines of the sun-kissed metal benches.

Multiblue

Shirt: Gap | Shorts: Banana Republic | Shoes: GBX | Sunnies: Aldo

IDK why when I woke up yesterday I decided to wear all blue. It seemed simple and easy on the eyes. The night before (this past Saturday) I decided to wear all black for the Cezanne opening at The Barnes and a night at Stratus Rooftop. Perhaps the (not typical Ian) black outfit inspired a colored version the next day. Either way when my roommate and I left to run some errands… we spotted this blue door that was perfect for this blue on blue on blue (with a slight accent of white, orange and gray) outfit. Then we made tacos. YUM.

And no the title isn’t after the clematis multi blue flower. OK, thanks.

Against Metal Siding.

Sweater: Perry Ellis | Jacket: BR | Pants: Volcom | Shoes: c/o/ Ahnu | Gloves: BR

This empty parking lot seemed like a great place to capture my Ahnu shoes against the metal siding and cracked pavement. The muted hues of my trench, shoes and the backdrop allowed the red pants to pop. I’ve been collecting jackets/coats/blazers for a while, but recently started seeking more trenches. This one is a looser fit than my other trenches so I wore a thick sweater underneath. After all… the snow lately IS SO ANNOYING. (thankfully this was shot before the last storm). Do you collection jackets, too?
