Rooftop

Ah the cold weather is finally starting to set in. Sigh. During my latest trip to Philly (for those of you that haven’t noted, I’m living in NYC), I did this rooftop shoot with Chris. A chance to appreciate the sunshine before a gray winter. I love mixing neutral colors and what better way than with fall appropriate olive pants. Ya? Ya! These Cat Footwear shoes compliment the blue hues in the “vintage” 3.1 Philip Lim for Target tee. I accessorized the outfit with 360 swivel sunnies from Gotti Switzerland, a Seiko Astron watch and a fur collar. Warm but not too warm since I was soaking up some rays on the rooftop. Today is a different story. Its cold, wet and rainy in NYC. Yuck!

How do you accessorize your outfits in the fall and winter? Do you tend to wear 1 pair of sunglasses, multiple pairs or none at all?

Warehouse Style

T-shirt: 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target

Pants: Gap

Belt: Abercrombie

Socks: c/o/ American Trench

Shoes: c/o/ Tsubo

Sunnies: Urban Outfitters

Sometimes I stop and have photo shoots in random warehouses with neon green fork lifts. I also sometimes wear 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target t-shirts with orange Tsubo shoes at those warehouse style shoots. My friend Emily was chatting how she really enjoys the orange on orange foot attire in this look (I sent her a teaser image last night). Do you like the orange on orange look? Wow I just said orange five times.. okay, six.

Just Being Miley

Shirt: Marc Jacobs

Pants: 3.1 Phillip Lim X Target (similar)

Sunnies: Kenneth Cole (similar)

Boots: Doc Martens

I came in like a wreckinggg ball! ………….. Ever since Miley deemed Philadelphia the place she took inspiration for her new style, I’ve wanted to shoot this Miley Cyrus X Marc Jacobs tee with a pair of Doc Martens. Not sure Doc Martens are a style staple in Philly (did I miss that memo?), but I still love them.

Thoughts on Flying.

No, not thoughts on flying an airplane! Thoughts on flying like Superman… Last week I had the opportunity to take trapeze lessons (for the second time) and, well, it was interesting! For readers close to Philly, Fly School Circus set-up the first permanent trapeze school at 5th and Cecil B. Moore. Whether I’m flying in the air like Superman or just flying in the air on an airplane, it’s so important to be comfortable. I decided to wear my new 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target black fitted sweat pants and the blue camo t-shirt. I bottomed my look off with a pair of printed socks. Since there are bars and wires and you flip in the air, no sunglasses or shoes are allowed. For the record I did wear sunglasses and shoes that day and just took them off before climbing the trapeze. ;D

Thanks for the flying photos, Heather!

What would you wear? Be sure to follow the attire and scheduling policies so you’re not in a fashion fault!

With all the buzz surrounding the 3.1 Phillip Lim X Target collaboration, I felt it was important to review the designer’s fall collection as I prep my fashion week wardrobe. I love all of the black leather in these looks. The black and white striped jacket and abstract camo pants are my favorite pieces! Black boots with a zipper detail appear in most of the looks and need to appear on my feet asap. A lavender backdrop adds color contrast to the images; well done.
