Not Traveling There Blind!

It’s summer in the Northern hemisphere (obviously), which means it’s the best time to TAKE A ROAD TRIP! I love exploring local spots when visiting an unfamiliar city, however doing so is difficult unless I have a friend to show me around.

To give travelers an insider look at USA cities, Ford enlisted the dynamic travel companions Krissy and Jessica of the YouTube series Taste Buds Travel. The duo has traveled state to state stopping in Chicago, New Orleans, Nashville and other cities and now made their final stop in Brooklyn!
I love the cool coffee shop x florist, Homecoming, featured in the video. It’s definitely on my Brooklyn must-visit list now. See Taste Buds Travel’s Brooklyn video below!

So what’s my Brooklyn recommendation? The Blind Barber.
Offering an array of services (haircuts, shaves, beard trims) and a menu full of delicious bites, the Brooklyn location is one of three.
524 Lorimer Street, Brooklyn, NY 11211

Check Suit, Four Seasons Beijing

Oh how I miss the flashy scene in Beijing. I posted another look with JUMA from the Four Seasons earlier this year and wanted to share this second suit editorial! The gray color went well with the modern and bright space inside the Four Seasons. One of my favorite parts from the trip was enjoying lunch in the Opus Lounge. After enjoying lunch and tea, we went upstairs to the balcony and shot this look. I hope to go back to Asia next year! Are you planning any trips?

Distillery District

I hope everyone is doing well! Today I’m posting images from my trip to Toronto with Mollie and our friend Rebecca. We did a lot of shopping – Holt Renfrew Men, Eaton Centre and of course The Distillery. The Distillery Historic District has been around since 1832 and boasts some amazing retail and eateries set amongst brick streets. We stopped in a few boutiques and bought small gifts, but my favorite places were for dinner and dessert DRINKS. We had a delicious dinner at El Catrin, which is where the first photo was shot (outside the restaurant). The tacos pollo con mole were phenomenal. We also tasted a few sakes at the Ontario Spring Water Sake Company (and then I bought a few bottles to bring home…). It was my first time in Toronto and I look forward to going back and exploring other areas in the city. Thanks to my friend Chris for the photos!!

NYFW with HYATT Herald Square

I’ve said this multiple times this year, but WOW does time go fast! I can’t believe NYFW was almost a month ago. I had such a great time staying at HYATT Herald Square and decided to do a few shoots there and I’ll be sharing the rest of the looks over the next week. First up is my “I’m here” look. I arrived cozy in this Benjamin Franklin graphic sweater by Fabrice Tardieu. It’s very soft.

Some of my favorite parts from the king bed room were the sparkly light next to the bed, the cool fabric on the couch and the welcoming note/fruit. After checking in I had to prepare for a show (that look will come soon), but that didn’t stop me from enjoying some of the strawberries on the desk and taking a cat nap on the super plush bed. Ahhhh :)

Beach Necessities, Sanya, China

My necessities: NUXE lip balm | Prada sunnies | OSiS+ hair paste | Gucci watch | mojito | comb

Mollie’s necessities part 1: Prada sunnies | Fiji Film camera

Mollie’s necessities part 2: NUXE dry oil | JUMA scarf | Ray-Ban sunnies

George’s necessities: Kiehl’s fragrance & lip balm | Gotti sunnies | Schon DSGN pen & notebook | Stereographic camera | comb

And we’re back to the beach! All of this cold weather is making me want to travel even more and to someplace warm! When George, Mollie and I were in Sanya we snapped some of our beach necessities. One of my favorite grooming products lately is the NUXE lip balm. So many other lip products seem to only last an hour or so, but with NUXE my lips feel soft, hydrated and not shiny (big plus) for hours.

Since we stayed at the Renaissance Sanya Resort & Spa, we had beach side service. Not shown here are George and Mollie’s drinks, however I did enjoy that delicious mojito! Mollie loved using the NUXE dry oil to stay hydrated on the sand while George used his stereographic camera to capture moments on the sealine and Schon DSGN pen to note them as well.

The evening before we shot these we went to a market street in the main downtown area in Sanya on Hainan island where we found awesome wood combs. I can’t wait to share more adventures from China soon! As always – thanks for reading!
