The museum scene in Philadelphia is strong. From the Philadelphia Museum of Art to the Mutter Museum and back to The Barnes, there is enough to keep busy for days. One of my favorite spots to stop at when I’m in the City of Brotherly Love is The Barnes Foundation. Inside houses a large collection of post-impressionist and early modern paintings. Outside a neutral barrier much more simplistic than the paintings inside.

This look combines weekend ease with technical ability. The jacket is from the DYNE, a new menswear brand focused on techy fabrics and clothing functionality. Eggshell blue pops against the neutral exterior and the simplistic track pants and sneakers. Every now and then I love to hang up my standard black blazer and go for an athletic inspired look.

Suited Up with Sports Cars

Last summer Briana and I shot this images for a menswear guide that ended up being postponed and reworked. Since my look has changed, my hair is longer and these are some gorgeous photos (thanks, Briana!) I decided to post instead of hold for the guide. Here are some of my favorite suits shot with sports cars in New York and Philadelphia.

Wearing a Calvin Klein suit standing by a vintage Mercedes in Hamptons.

Wearing a navy camo JUMA suit standing by a Camero near the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Wearing a Krammer & Stoudt suit sitting inside a white BMW in Hamptons.

Neutrals with Ampersand Goods Co

Shirt: Mack Weldon | Pants: Neil Barrett | Backpack: Ampersand Goods |
Shoes: New Balance | Sunglasses: Tumi | Hat: Gents

Well it’s finally warm, no hot, in the North East United States. It’s time to drop the jacket for easy, sporty chic outfits. I recently acquired this backpack from Ampersand Goods Co and I love it. When I went to the brand’s website this style caught my attention for it’s ease. I proceeded to customize the bag picking the leather color and strap details. One of the best features is the mesh lined back to help with air flow and prevent my back from sweating!

A striped hat corresponds with the bag strap and helps shield the sun. On a super bright day sometimes sunglasses aren’t enough, however these black Tumi shades keep sunlight at bay. The black pants are fitted and stretchy perfect for active days around the city. Now I’m off to enjoy Memorial Day Weekend with friends. Have a great weekend and stay safe!

City Hall City Stroll

Shirt: Saturday’s | Pants: G Star Raw | Shoes: K-Swiss |
Sunglasses: Ray-Ban | Headphones: Skull Candy | Watch: Todd Snyder x Timex

Not that it’s new, but I have an obsession with blue. Whether that Cobalt suit from NOLA or these marine Ray-Bans… I can’t get enough. Shades of blue pair easily together while leaving room for a POP. I paired this look with sneakers from K-Swiss 50th anniversary collection. Digging the blue leather accent on the back – isn’t that a nice touch?! When I wore this outfit I buttoned up the shirt for brunch and let it loose afterwards while strolling by City Hall. Note that the headphones are wireless. Waaaayyy better than loose cords flopping around… thanks, Skull Candy!

Before We Spring Forward

Tee: ASOS | Pants: Zara | Coat: Andrew Marc Shoes: Kenneth Cole | Sunglasses: Mont Blanc | Watch: Marco Mavilla

In the winter something about the cold keeps me dressed in a lot of black and neutral colors. With spring around the corner I’m playing with the light and making a graphic statement. I paired this lined t-shirt with my favorite winter coat to keep me warm, but the whole time I wore it I just wanted to throw the coat down and walk around in just the t-shirt! Toward the end of each season I start working in the next season’s styles. Whether that’s wearing fall layers at the first cool breeze in September or attempting to wear just a t-shirt at the beginning of March, the saying goes, “we always want what we don’t have.” If the current temperate means I get to wear this outfit, then I want exactly what I DO have. Cheers to spring temperatures ahead.
