The Well-Fitted Bomber’s Last Hooray!

The last few months have been pretty interesting. I’ve taken a step back from a lot of projects to focus on something new that launches later this month and I could not be more excited! More on that as the time approaches… I’ve also been spending more and more time at the gym, taking CrossFit classes, and spinning my legs off during Bryant’s Soul Cycle classes. The results are paying off! There will be more on that when the time comes for the special annoucement…but for now I wanted to share this sharp outfit with one of my favorite bomber jackets from Krammer & Stoudt. I love the earthy green color of this jacket and the slim fit. Sadly the fit is becoming more and more snug on my shoulders and arms. This will be one of the last times I wear the jacket before sizing up! There’s really only one downside working out so much and that’s having to get rid of clothes you love that no longer fit! But then again… that means more room for new items in muscle fit sizes.

These images were already posted on IG during fashion week so I’m going to use this post to say CONGRATULATIONS to my friend Nicole for FINALLY (finalllllly) launching menswear for her line, Lobo Mau. I’ve been a big fan and supporter over the years and felt only a bit guilty when she would make me custom menswear pieces as they weren’t available to the public. But now they are! See her incredibly comfortable and graphic line on her newly designed website. The Boks Print trousers and sweatshirt are my favorite pieces…

Sometimes you find a brand that really speaks to you. When you do… buy. it. all. This happened to me when I found out my friend Aaron Pierce started his company Gentry + Rose. What started out as a custom denim love affair (Aaron made me a pair of custom jeans that quickly became my favorite pants that I’ve worn 100+ times now). Then I moved into wearing his comfortable t-shirts like this beige options shown above. It’s seriously one of the softest, most comfortable shirts I own. I keep wearing it and am hoping he comes out with other colors ASAP. Shop similar pieces from this outfit in the widget below.

Finding Your Go-To Wardrobe Staples

This summer has been a whirlwind of traveling around, which means… living out of a suitcase. While it’s been insanely fun… it’s been tricky packing and repacking time and time again. To simplify my life I started narrowing down the options I wore opting for better quality, basics that can be worn again and again without seeming boring. For a taste of up coming series on identifying your staple pieces I’m sharing a few items I’ve loved all summer.
1) This Chafor shirt is cut with a little extra room in the back that allows for an anti-sweat design in warmer climates. It was a great piece to wear in the blazing sun and I will certainly keep wearing it on upcoming trips to sunny destinations.
2) The Chopard sunglasses (according to my sister) fit my face the best of any I’ve worn. The wood and acetate temples are very comfortable. The wood bridge adds structure to the look.
3) These Donald Pliner shoes are going into fall with me because they are so damn comfortable! Clean, crisp and forgiving to the feet. One thing I’ve learned while traveling so much is to identify a handful of stellar shoes that will last long and have generous foot padding. Highly suggest checking out the various styles from DJP.
