Blazered Up at Barclay Prime

Barclay Prime_ Ian Michael Crumm

Since living in Philadelphia for almost 6 years (time goes fast when you’re having fun!) I’ve been to almost every Stephen Starr restaurant. Except Barclay Prime… Known for it’s amazing cuts of steak and that glistening gold door, the restaurant has been on my must-try list for too long. Thankfully the other week I had a few days between traveling in California and heading to Cabo to get dressed up for a dinner meeting. I decided to dress up a pair of dark denim jeans with a navy blazer. This is one of my favorite blazers because of the slim fit and leather collar. Since the look is overall pretty dark in hue I added some interest to the outfit with three bracelets stacked on the same wrist.

This is my Strong Suit | Bonham Strand

Suit: Bonham Strand (custom by appointment) | Konstantino bracelet (similar)

It doesn’t happen often, but when I put on a suit it needs to feel powerful! My style has morphed over the years becoming more athleisure leaving suits in the closet longer. As I’ve been working out the past few months… I needed to get something new that fits. I caught wind of a new suiting company based in Hong Kong that just opened up a Philadelphia division and ended up working with them to design the suit above. We decided to keep the fit trim and on the shorter side. Whether wearing a sleek pair of shoes or a statement bracelet (what do you think of my new Konstantino piece?) I prefer to leave some pant and arm room to not overwhelm my accessories with suiting. Fitted and feeling powerful!

How do you like to wear your suits?

Pairing Two Suede Pieces in One Look

Fall means mixing texture in my sartorial book. Here I’ve paired two of my newest favorite pieces, a suede biker jacket and mint suede sneakers. While having a ‘statement piece’ element to them, the sneakers are subdued in the same respect. To me this outfit shows the versatility we can have while playing with muted pops of color, texture, and layering.
