House of Versace

This past weekend the “House of Versace” movie premiered on Lifetime. IT WAS AMAZING! I loved watching Donatella take over the family business after Gianni passed away. She is a very powerful and inspiring woman. Throughout the film there were a bunch of sayings that stood out to me. I told myself I was going to live tweet the film, but ended up only sending a few messages because I was so glued to the TV. It is a definite MUST watch and next time I’ll have to write down some more of those awesome quotes. Here is one of the quotes I actually tweeted..

What a great moto. If you are confident and know what you are doing, when one door opens more doors will open because of that initial opportunity. When Donatella says this in the movie it is symbolic to the lux life she and the rest of the Versace family were living. After Gianni’s death the company took a turn for the worse, but eventually started turning a profit again.

Also it is really crazy how well Gina Gershon resembles Donatella. Great casting choice by Lifetime.
