Shop Like A Local

I teamed up with Kimpton Hotel’s Palomar Philly to create a shopping guide for hotel guests. We titled it, “Shop Like A Local.” The guide launched this week and is live on the Palomar website. I selected stores with a traveler in mind. What does someone need when traveling? Well – see the guide to find out what I selected!

This suit is from Les Richards — one of the retailers in the guide. I wore it, with a bow tie and pocket round from Edward Armah and art deco cufflinks, to the launch party in the hotel’s living room lobby. Chris captured the look before the night ended. It was so much fun collaborating on this project and am excited for this fall. Stay tuned ;)

RAGs & Thread Custom Denim.

Over the past year or so I’ve been watching RAGs & Thread as the company expanded its ready-to-wear selection. Currently offering men’s and women’s knits, the company hopes to launch a custom denim platform on its online store to allow customers to, well, customize their own jeans. Right now there is a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for production and to build the interface on the RAGs & Thread website. Scroll on to read/see how it will work!

A customer will start out with a blank pair of denim jeans and select different embellishments on the RAGs & Thread website. This pair that I customized as part of the Kickstarter campaign has some acid washing, distressing on the right thigh and a camo patch.

Images are from the custom denim campaign. If you didn’t realize, I’m the male personality behind the custom denim launch! I modeled the sample jeans and appear in the promotional video. SEE THE VIDEO HERE.

Head over to RAGs & Thread’s Kickstarter to read more about the customization process and to pledge for a custom pair of jeans before the campaign ends! AHHHHH! HURRY!

& The Old Spice Winner is…

Congratulations to Jarred King of The Cufflink because he won the #SmellcometoManhood travel pack from my Old Spice giveaway! He’s the lucky winner of a stickered out suitcase of goodies including Old Spice Re-Fresh body sprays, Old Spice earbuds, an “Over the Top” DVD, Duct Tape (hello, doesn’t that SCREAM manhood?), an Art of Manliness book, hair product and more.

Over the past couple weeks I’ve used my new Old Spice products more. I still feel like the Fiji Re-Fresh scent is the best fit for me. I love the fruity smell and the scent lasts all day. You might be thinking… “How can he tell that the scent is actually lasting all day because his olfactory must get used to that scent after initially spraying it. Right?” Well, yes, right. However! People keep complimenting my subtle yet delicious body scent throughout the days and into the evenings. Bravo, Old Spice! I’ve accomplished smelling nice all day and into the night with this new Fiji Re-Fresh spray. I’ll take it.

The stickers on the outside of my #SmellcometoManhood travel pack. My favorite stickers are 1) Business Deals and 2) Winning! because I love a good business deal and who doesn’t love winning?!

So Over, Overspraying! (Old Spice Giveaway)

We’ve all fallen victim to that person who decides to use WAY TOO MUCH cologne/body spray. Who gave that person the right to use half a bottle of scent when exiting the shower? Enough! It is a downright olfactory offense. To help the world rid of overspraying offenders, I teamed up with Old Spice for the launch of the new Re-fresh Body Sprays. Little odor missiles built into the scent formula activate whenever you start to sweat. Thus.. there is no need for long applications; the spray refreshes itself throughout the day.

I’ve used three of the scents from the Re-Fresh collection (Fiji, Swagger and Bearglove) and keep gravitating towards Fiji. I love fruity island smells.

The video below does a nice job explaining the new product. Watch it and you will understand why “supermodels love my face.” Needless to say I’ve been spraying the Fiji scent before putting my shirt on…haha.

So I was sent this cool briefcase with the new products inside. The official “Smellcome to Manhood” travel pack that includes Re-fresh body Sprays, earbuds, hair product and a bunch of over manly must-haves.

Thankfully as a special treat to my readers, Old Spice is prepared to give one of you the same kit! Enter to win a “Smellcome to Manhood” travel suitcase via the widget below. Female readers you should still enter to win. It’s a cool package and an AWESOME gift for a guy in your life.

Cool Collab: Adidas by Tom Dixon

Flipping through the online pages of East Dane, I saw this new collection by Adidis in collaboration with Tom Dixon and wanted to blog about it. First, the sole on the shoes and boots is very cool. I love the contrasting spikes. Second, that yellow jacket probably has my initials inside. To be bright, bold and beautiful…everything I want when walking in the rain. Third, I love slim backpacks. Currently I wear a black leather one on the reg, but this is a nice bright white option for the spring. Fourth, cuffed pants are awesome. Fifth, we’re back to the boots.. I enjoy the texture on the toe.
